Allen and Mary Anne have two daughters, two sons, and four granddaughters; plus - two halflinger horses, a basset hound and a golden retriever.   

Allen was honorably discharged in 1976 after service as a second lieutenant with the Tennessee National Guard.

Allen enjoys the southern mountains and valleys where he camps, hunts, and fishes with family and friends, and rides a Honda Shadow.
